Dr. Dan Matrazzo and The Looters – “High” and “Pimpin’ Ain’t Easy”


Dr. Dan Matrazzo keyboards have graced the albums of John Scofield, Warren haynes, the Allman Brothers Band, and Widespread Panic. The Looters layed down the funk for Kristina Train, Saskia Laroo, and Rosa King. Wait ’til you’re hear their originals!

Dr. Dan Matrazzo is known as one of two godfathers of jam music with his long-time former partner Col. Bruce Hampton, and has recorded with The Allman Brothers, the Fiji Mariners, Clarence “Gatemouth” Brown, Widespread Panic, and Joseph Patrick Moore. His own album “Dan on the Moon” (Terminus, 2000) featured Warren Haynes on Guitar and Sam Sims on bass. He’s gigged with Steve Vai, Les Claypool, Ween, Leftover Salmon, James Cotton, and Phish, and taught piano lessons to some of the current jam scene’s best keyboardists.
His band The Looters is led by Joe and Eric Layden of Savannah, Ga. whose tours with Kristina Train (Blue Note), Rosa King (EMI) and Saskia Laroo(Laroo Records) have led them all over the world.
