Michael J. Joseph: “Clover” and “How Sweet The Words”

A fan of such diverse artists as Elvis, Bob Dylan, Prince, Frank Sinatra, Depeche Mode and Creedence Clearwater Revival, Michael’s retro-tinged songs incorporate elements of rock, blues, funk, soul and country music but also possess pop sensibilities that give them a contemporary edge. Singing and writing are in Michael’s DNA, his father was an opera singer and he is related to the Romantic poet Percy Shelley on his mother’s side of the family.

Tying it all together is Michael’s smooth bluesy voice which has been variously compared to Michael Hutchence, Elvis, George Michael and John Lennon. It is a warm, multifarious voice which ranges from intimate and relaxed to passionate and intense.
