Mondo Vibrations: “No Evil” and “The Muse I See”

Mondo Vibrations is an infused sound of reggae, rock, and Burque. Composed of 6 members; Kenny Cernius (vocals/guitar), Rick “Smirie” Gonzales (vocals/guitar/keys/melodica), Mike Gerdes (producer/guitar/synths), Shae Longi (bass), Kevin Sanchez (drums), and Jimmy Sanchez (percussion).

They take inspiration from Sublime, Bob Marley, Pink Floyd, 311, and the landscapes of New Mexico. The band began their journey sometime in 2009 playing house parties, pubs, and was quickly welcomed into the booming music scene of Albuquerque, also known as Mondos extended family of artists.

Mondo Vibrations has been blessed with many accomplishments such as releasing their first album “Dazed” in September 2011, music videos, and gigging around the South West. They have been featured live on the radio (Coyote 102.5 and KUNM), and have been showcased in infamous local publications (The Alibi, and The Local IQ). They have shared the stage with bands such as Slightly Stoopid, The Supervillains, Afroman, Passifire, Marlon Asher, Fortunate Youth, The Expanders, and many other great bands.

The bands mission is simple; to spread positive vibrations through their music and sound while having a good time doing so. Keep an eye out for Mondo Vibrations; though I expect you’ll hear them coming long before they arrive.

Mondo Vibrations is on Jamsphere with the tracks, “No Evil” and “The Muse I See”
