Brandon Tyrell Ratliff AKA (BTR) is from a small town called Troy, NC aka “MoCO”. He started rapping in 2009, but was first told he had flow at the age of 14. At 19 he sacrificed basketball, and school wasn’t what he wanted at that time of his life. He had all these beliefs, stories and views in life he wanted to share through music which explains the name “BTR” or born to be real.
He had all the tools around him but he didn’t know why, or what his purpose was as, far as a career in music was concerned, until 2009 when he became a part of a FlyGang, a group of his high school friends who all had a passion for music and wanted to share their talents. The group name and music spiraled up in a short period of time but when money became an issue the group had to put a pause to things.
But for BTR the music did not stop there, through highs and lows as well as collaboration changes he now comes to the deck with the tracks “Nightlife” featuring Mike Gomez and “I Know You Feel It”.
