Popkanon is a songwriting / production company founded by Paal Bay Braathen, Morten Collier Gabrielsen, and Tomas Jensen in 2020. Their hope is to excite and inspire fans through their music, featuring both up-and-coming and established artists. Popkanon is on Jamsphere Radio rotation with the track “Midnite Sun”. This is a song collaboration between songwriter trio from Norway, Popkanon, and American Indie Artist Emma Butterworth from Chicago.
Emma has an incredible soul and confidence to her voice and brought the melody to another level. The song is about solitude and relationships. It was written about a past wonderful relationship that is no longer active but the connection is still strong. It addresses vulnerability and the difficulty of being alone.
