Released on June 16th, singer Claritzel Miyares debuted her new single, “La santa,” a Latin fusion song with Cuban flavor and contemporary trap elements.The singer, known for her participation in music competitions like Operación Triunfo and La Voz, delights us with a dynamic and catchy melody that evokes the sounds of the 2000s while incorporating urban phrasing.
The audiovisual production of the music video, produced by Canarian production company Candilejas Producciones and directed by Rut Angielina, was filmed in the north of Tenerife, featuring the participation of Mesón El Monasterio. The musical composition, created by producer Adrián Ghiardo and singer Jadel, accompanies the artist’s vocals with a rhythm that awakens the desire to dance despite life’s difficulties. The summer hit is now available on all digital platforms.
Claritzel Miyares Hernández, is a singer and songwriter born in Holguín, Cuba, and currently residing in Spain. She was drawn to music due to her family’s musical tradition; her brother is Carlos Miyares, a Grammy-winning saxophonist who won the award in 2010 with the Afrocuban Messengers led by maestro Chucho Valdés.
She studied at the Esteban Salas Conservatory in Santiago de Cuba and the Amadeo Roldán Conservatory in Havana, where she graduated in Choral Conducting. She worked as a chorister at the Tropicana cabaret in Cuba, performing in the show “Un paraíso bajo las estrellas” by Santiago Alfonso in Havana and during their tour in Tenerife, Canary Islands.
Claritzel participated as a contestant on the television program Operación Triunfo on Telecinco. She also competed in the first edition of the Spanish version of the program “La Voz” (The Voice), where she was selected to be on Melendi’s team.
