The pseudonym Myrta stands for the musician and conductor Martina Stoye. Myrta composes and produces her own worlds of sound, naturally merging classical music with new forms of producing and thinking. As a multi-instrumentalist and singer, she creates an ongoing interplay of the analogue and digital, genres and influences, past and present. Transcending genre, classical instrumentation and vocals meet lyrics by William Shakespeare and Henry Fothergill Chorley as well as experimental layers of beats, synthesizers, and soundscapes. A new album is currently in production, together with the musician and producer Michael Gramm. (David Dichelle- Continental Subway/WFMU’s Give the Drummer Radio). Myrta is on radio rotation with the track “Shall I Compare Thee To A Summer’s Day”.
